Our Programs

Each program is tailored to seek out each individual’s greatest strengths and greatest weaknesses.

A 16 week cyclical fitness regime that concentrates on mobility, core, balance and strength. Within the 16 weeks, the fitWave progresses through phases or “waves” that allows for the safest and highest quality of movements to reach peak potential for every member. The fitWave workouts change daily with focus on upper body, lower body, or team building cardio. The fitWave varies from low intensity concentration of isolating muscle groups to high intensity training that increases metabolic responses. Progress is tested every 16 weeks through 3 rep max that includes upper body, lower body, full body and cardio movements. Active adults classes also have benchmark testing that is specific to their ability. Our Sports Performance division has some specific benchmark testing as well.

Testing of major muscle groups allows us to track progress among all clients. We focus on building these major muscle groups throughout the training cycles with accessory and stability training. Testing is performed 3 times per year to allow for new clients to build into the program and for veteran members to build their progress.

The FitWave Theory/Pillars

Being responsible in programming to allow for quality movements at every age, the fitWave focuses on longevity of fitness. The fitWave’s demographic is every demographic because everyone can do it and see massive benefits. A single fitWave class can have a youth athlete, middle aged mom, along with an active adult and every one of them can perform the same movement, the same regime and progress according to their own goals without competition. Bigger, heavier and faster is not always the answer. We can control our movements, focus on core stability, balance and hip strength to decrease the risk of injury and increase the quality of movement and allow that to translate to our everyday life…both athletically and functionally. The fitWave incorporates into youth training, sports performance, post-partum, post rehab, active adults and any population looking for overall quality of life improvement.

The fitWave pillars consist of Mobility, Balance, Core, Strength. Every fitWave session implements every pillar throughout the one-hour workout.

The format of the fitWave is consistent day-to-day, however every workout is completely different each day. The fitWave is formatted to cycle through 4 different slides (1. Dynamic Warm Up, 2. CoreWave, 3. FitWork Wave, 4. fitWave Finisher). Each day focuses on different muscle groups, along with cycling through different movement pattern formats (supersets, time under tension, burn outs, complex training).

Example
  • Monday/Thursday – upper body focused

  • Tuesday/Friday – lower body focused

  • Wednesday/Saturday – full body team building (this gives the FitWave community a chance to train together and create a collaborating unity amongst all members no matter their ability)

Recovery

Massage therapy encompasses different types of treatments based upon a person’s need. We offer several forms of soft tissue manipulation including massage therapy (deep tissue, sports, activation release, graston, prenatal, and relaxation), myofascial release, cranial/sacral therapy and cupping. These modalities can reduce or eliminate discomfort from such conditions as sciatica, carpal tunnel, frozen shoulder, migraines, and many more. There is also significant improvement with range of motion issues from injury and surgery with the continued use of massage therapy modalities. Improvements in athletic performance and training can be seen in individuals who receive regular soft tissue treatments. Maintain your machine so it performs at its peak!

Have a reason for everything

Each and every exercise and component of the program should have a reason. We all know trainers who visit youtube for inspiration and then randomly include the “exercise of the day” just because it looks fun. This is a huge mistake!!

Everything we do for clients must have a specific desired result in mind. We must understand that simply adding volume and intensity for the sake of variety is pointless.

Sports Performance

fitWave offers a complete Wellness package for corporations, businesses and school districts.  fitWave will come onsite to provide wellness classes and education for employees, along with nutritional counseling to improve the overall health benefits for every individual in the company and school district.  Each initiative for employees may ultimately save on insurance premiums.

fitWave also offers after school programs for school districts.  fitWave will come onsite to provide speed and agility, along with youth fitness classes.  This gives initiatives for school districts to align with the Healthy School Alliance program along with building a strong, confident youth community!
